Actually this was discussed in the early 90's when I was on Alumni  Board.  
It simply was too expensive, particularly after postal rates  increased.  It 
carried no advertising, and was in no way a subscription  journal, and 
particularly after so many alumni cut back on donations largely as  a result of the 
Antioch Independence Fund -- ending the Antiochian was the  response.  
 
Renewing it, I suspect, would of necessity require that it become  electronic 
so as to get around the costs of postage.  At the same time, the  features so 
many valued -- the class updates, and yes the obits, need to be kept  up.  
Over many years I was distrubed by the Public Relations Happy Talk  that 
dominated the College News, and while I don't think it the place to put the  details 
of institutional spats, it never was reflective.
