Ah, but what are these fine young lads and lasses doing with the internet in the library?   At best, doing the "necessary" 11th hour Wikipedia-based research for an undergraduate term paper, or e-mailing, chatting, and reading about Britney and Dr. Phil?
   
  The hard-bound library was less uncertain - at least you knew that those who were there weren't goofing off.
