I don't think you can blanketly say that libraries are
dying, Yazz. They are pretty healthy here in the
Midwest, in spite of their need for more funding. (I
volunteer at one and am thinking about going back to
school for library science.) and we do interlibrary
loans every day in the Illinois library systems. In
fact we offer them, if the book is not in the library
currently.

I'm sorry you had a poor experience at a library but
not all librarians are stupid, like you are making
them out to be.
