Hey Mark P.....today is Community Day...some commonality but rather
Community.......not too many tie dyes....

classes are suspended and replaced by fun Community building exercises.

Lunch is free for all.. and includes karaoke and for an extra dessert
there was a pie your- favorite- staff- or administrator - in- the- face
fundraiser.

Bob Devine was probably first to be pied......

I hightailed it right back to the Library.....outta range.

A couple of library staff members (Sandy and Sue) sang
Acapella....replacing "Rocky Top" (for all you country fans)  lyrics with
Antioch lyrics .......quite fun actually...

They got a standing ovation....

Eventhough we are poor and kinda stressed in through here we have a fairly
good sense of Community.

Although one of the Dean's sectaries at my table cried a little and said
"I hope this isn't the last Community Day."

One of last term's Record editors transferred to Bard and then immediately
returned and was actually in the library today

photocopying her post colonial lit readings...and said..   Bard has no
sense of Community......no one really related to each other.

I said " Wasn't it a beautiful environment..the hills and the Hudson
River?"

She said "Ohio is beautiful too. and at Antioch there is a better sense of
Community"    She btw is from France.

Don't forget to bring up your social entrepreneurship ideas until someone
bites.  and please pray and push a little.
