leave town. He published a series of writings in broadsheet format printed
by the Yellow Springs News.

  Hi Jan Meltzer '69, and thank you for your kind message and inquiries.
   
  The 1969 Antioch College graduation was filmed?  How wonderful!  I've
never seen that or heard about it.  Wonder if ANTIOCHIANA has the film (no
video tape back then) of the 69 graduation, and/or the "changed" ANTIOCH
ADVENTURE (1967) movie, now on video.
   
  "Near beer" is/was "3.2" beer which meant less alcohol.  Might have been
an early version of "light beer," which became (still it) popular among the
weight control people of the world, and others.
   
  Com's was founded in 1945 and was still alive an well in the 1970's when
it employed then famous Antioch grads as waiters who didn't desire to leave
Yellow Springs, Ohio and get a co-op job elsewhere after college graduation!
When did it clsoe?
   
  Steve Lippman was a great jazz piano player I hired to play jazz piano in
the Birch Hall Common Room during Winter Quarter 1965 when I served as
Antioch Community Government Asst. Manager for the Social Program (half time
job I had along with a full time study load...great!). That same quarter
Jose Feliciano performed in Kelly Hall (Main Building/ Antioch Hall) , and
Dave Van Ronk did also later in the quarter.
   
  Robin Holske attended Antioch then, and played music for Div Dance of
Winter 1965 in Birch Hall Common Room.  We had a big referendum about
whether Div Dance should be continued, and students overwhelmingly signed
petitions urging it be kept alive.  So..it went on!.
   
  Holske became a famous and noted (same thing?) jazz and band pianist in
New England, and recently sent bio info to THE ANTIOCHIAN alumni publication
stating he was active as a musician's union leader in New Hampshire or
Vermont (those seem the same to me, but I don't live there!).
   
  Steve Lippman was in awe of Robin Holske, who was considered something of
a jazz piano genius back in 1965.
