Clean Gene has been spinning sounds for a dance every year at Reunion for
years and years.

The Trail Tavern (couldn't BELIEVE I was legal for near beer!) has a sunny
addition on one side and an extended deck with tables on the other -- and a
new bathroom! It still has the same funky front door, the same barroom, same
creaky floor boards, and the dark, old beer smell we remember so fondly.
The big old picnic-style table that many of us carved our initials into has
been varnished and still sits in the interior room.

Fried shrimp was my luxury at Com's.

Hello, Rex Barger!

I got a phone message from Jay Hildreth last night. He must be from about
Rex's era. It was a looonnngg message -- cut off by the machine before he
could leave his phone number. He was telling me about his granddaughter who
is very happily a first year student at Antioch this year. Jay came to
campus from NYC for a number of years for the alumni work project at
Reunion. He is a trooper despite failing health. He doesn't have email so he
isn't linked into all the information about what's been happening. He's very
anxious to be part of the revival effort. If anyone has his phone number,
please let me know (backchannel me: dramamama at nyc.rr.com).

Now I have an awful craving for near beer and onion rings.
