I only had one co-op job that paid enough for me to live on and meet my share of my tuition and r&b costs. It was a six-month one however. In others I had to volunteer and work part time. A notable job was working as a desktop publishing guru in the Georgetown Kinko's which actually meant typing and proofing student papers. I only did it for a month because my "improvements" to the papers were good enough for me to recruit a cadre of rich but lazy or dumb G-town students for whom I did "extensive editing". I consider myself a Georgetown alum, I certainly did more work towards a degree that quarter than many of their students did.
