*yawn* I'm so tired of hearing that. it was and still is an open
place where EVERYONE was welcome to submit stories. To bad all the
people that hated the site never once submitted any positive
stories... Over the years I only refused to post one or two
stories. I just tried to provide the apple box for anyone willing to
talk to stand on. To bad you didn't use it to prevent the closing
early on...

Oh yea more than once I got private e-mails from prospective students
and parents about the college. I never told any not to go. Actually
the complete opposite, I recommended they visit the campus. Sit on
the stoop and talk with students that have been there 2 or 3 years.
Also my relationship with the college was at the end a love hate one.
Its what you make of it when everything was boiled down.

Sure I was pissed at the college originally and the site name was
born. However the goal was to provide an ongoing dialog for students
and alumni. To many times while I was a student there was some big
issue nearly everyone got behind. However as soon as co-op came
around or the summer, it vanished. Or worse the college did what
every they wanted while the students were off campus.

I was a communications major and I felt that Antioch lacked continues
communications. Maybe continues isn't the right word but I hope you
get the general idea. There was community meeting but that really
only worked if you were on campus. There was the Record which
sometimes was set to alumni sometimes not. There were things like
Friday forums but they had little follow up even in the Record. Lots
of interesting information but little of it documented and preserved
for others not physically there to enjoy.

I'm not a writer and my grammar and spelling are terrible so please
forgive any of my mistakes. I never seem to be able to fix all my
mistakes... ugh.

PS: By the way I don't want to see the college close and if you
notice the name of the site change to http://antirecord.org/ . Name
changed but not the content or goal... Why do I even waste my time
explaining this to people anymore. Idiots. Oh, and this is the last
I'll be talking about the subject of AntiochSucks.com so flame on if
you want but I don't give a shit what you think of the site or me.
Lets go save Antioch now why don't we... Back to lurking on the
mailing list like I should...
