Sorry luara, they ask for facts, they ask for reasons, they ask for things the college (or any other) was never able to do and then... they ignore the reasons and the facts and insist, despite any set of numbers, any collection of reports and minutes, and logic. The refusal of some people to accept that current conditions could indeed have been caused entirely by a series of very poor financial decisions and leadership choices seems to be based on some psychiatric cross between an Oedipal complex and repressed memory syndrome. While not uncommon among college students, it usually works itself out by the late thirties and people move on. 

The "why" is known, documented, admitted to (because some find there to be no culpability expecting the college to work like a for profit enterprise) and still we have an argument.
