If you are looking for the slightly outta da norm Christmas (Hannukah or
Kwanza) present.

Try this one.

The Science Institute at the College has just released a new calender that
covers 2008 and into a little bit of 2009.

It has great photos and vignettes of the current students, and has some
photos of faculty and staff..including Bill Whitesell, Chuck Taylor and
Jill Yager.
And yes...there are still physics majors!!!!

There is even a great photo of a science student who is also on the town
Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad (Maples' successor in this age of high
insurance premiums)..

as in most firefighter calenders the guy is clad in fire gear from the
waist down (hubba-hubba).

The area rescue squad has the acronym MTFR (Miami Township Fire and
Rescue) but I always see a naughty double entendre in the acronym, just an
old "urban" New Yorker I guess.

The calenders are $5.00..the money may go to buy a new refrigerator for
the Science Building...or some other necessary small ticket item....

For a small fee I think folks will mail these calenders to you.
