  Happy Thanksgiving to all Antiochians everywhere!
   
  An Antioch College, Ohio, alumnus friend who lives near Yellow Springs, OH informed me that the current Yellow Springs NEWS (see: WWW.YSNews.Com) has front page stories about disgruntled Antioch alumni and money promises not being kept.
   
  He asked what I thought, and I replied.  I thought I'd share my reply with alumni who read posts on this chatline:

  The Antioch crisis is over, I think.   What's going on now seems to me to be just fallout.
   
  The "realpolitik" of it all is that the Trustees tried a raid on one part of the school to put money into the part easier to sell and supervise (the part with no tenure, no student activism, etc.) and the Trustees were stopped.
   
  The Trustees backed out with a lot of bluster and "requirements" but I doubt they will hold the alumni who promised big money to the money delivery promises.
   
  The school will stay open, and stay "poor," which it wasn't when the crisis started.  The "crisis" was and is artificial,  just an excuse for the unsuccessful raid the Trustees and Dr. Toni Murdock, CEO of AU tried to pull off, and backed out of.
   
  All the rest is tumult and shouting, filled with sound and fury and signifying almost nothing, I think.
   
  Murdock and Zucker of AU and the BOT have egg on their face, and will crawl away soon, as Dr. Steve Lawry, the recently departed Antioch College president already has done.
   
  The gang that couldn't shoot straight!
