Thanks for the detailed and compelling history, I appreciate the considerable efforts. One immaterial adjustment to it might be the parameter years of Adcil's becoming "advisory" to the President. I was on Adcil for the entire year 90-91 (co-oped on campus), and we were clearly advisory to Al when I came on board. While my memory is  fuzzy about that time, Al wasn't heavy handed about it, "guiding" the discussion if you will, but critical decisions were his at that point. 

We did all the administrative review Sistersara et al described around budget etc as well as dealt with some, uh, dynamic issues that year (as a result of which some people threw a lot of funky stuff at me during Camelot). He did throw down on us a few times, although many of the specifics escape me, but he accorded Adcil public and fair respect in my recollection. Unlike recent times, it seems. But we had no illusions. 

Oh - please, don't let this be a bridge to the Guskin Conundrum.  Doh!
