I've heard there's a new facilities committee being formed.  I don't know what priorities folks out there have, but mine is definitely the library.  Whether we have a new library or renovate the old one, I think we should put emphasis on keeping the entire collection as accessible as possible during the construction/renovation phase.  Joe Cali was always keen on keeping everything out so that anyone who might stumble on something interesting might be tempted to pick it up (be it a book or a periodical) and check it out.  The OK library has a very interesting collection and a number of gems.
   
  In my opinion, a new building for the library is in order (and I'd be in favor of naming it after Joe Cali, the man who dedicated his life to the place at a time when the fight against nature never stopped...floods, crumbling walls, etc.).  A library speaks volumes about a college (sorry...coun't resist) and we would all do well to make it a priority.
