Basically, I'm saying this:
Antiochians.org's purpose, is to create/provide an environment to help facilitate discussion and information regarding keeping the College open and to support those Antiochians who are united to do the same (faculty, chapters, etc).
AlumniChat, which is a list that is maintained on the university's server has no such similar mission.
Instead of diverting the energies of Antiochians who are aligned with the purpose of this site by flooding their community space with off topic and often counter-productive AlumniChat "discussions," we'd be better served by focusing energies and shutting off direct communication to AlumniChat within this community space.
Basically, let the trolls troll their own mailing list and lets use our solutions to help Save Antioch.
Regarding the other mailing lists: no, I don't call for those to be shut down. They are maintained by Antiochians.org and are of similar focus to the overall mission of this site. AlumniChat is not.
