No we haven't. Of course they are allowing, they still hold the hand. And what if we do have to do the fund-raising? We have been given access to the development office and staff. One thing that I do wonder about is if they use this office, who has control of the funds raised? I am also very reluctant to celebrate just yet, there are 2 months until the next BoT meeting and there is a lot to be done, a viable business plan that now is a combined effort between the alumni board and the faculty, some undisclosed amount of money that needs to be raised, and information access that has to be immediate. All of this could be a simple smoke screen on their part, but I will work on whatever I can until the end of October in order to see if my worst fears are confirmed or my actions rewarded. I can't say for sure if this is a tactic for stalling or not, so I am going on to see what happens, Hell, it is a small period of my life compared with other things and I feel as if my small effort has
at least brought into fruition a larger and more activated community.
Let's see what happens.
