[Alumni-chat] A short rant/reflection

I wonder why it is that any historical reflection or questioning of campus
dynamics makes one:
a) Either a Puritan?
b) Like George Bush?
It is good to laugh at ourselves, but I also think that reflection is
important even when in crisis. I think Antiochians have been in crisis mode
so long that it is the only context in which we truly function. No need to
reflect. Plenty has gotten normalized as part of an educational experience,
that is actually not very conducive to education, health or sustainability.
Or do we all think that the only problem with Antioch lies in outsider's
perceptions and NYT editorial writers? What about Antioch Spinmasters? Or
is it Marcusean loyalists? I am sure it will at some point get hung on some
mouthy woman who doesn't smoke the Antioch brand of cigar.
