From barbara at wordcourt.com Sun Jun 1 12:20:30 2008 From: barbara at wordcourt.com (Barbara Wallraff) Date: Sun Jun 1 12:20:36 2008 Subject: [Acbostonalums] Boston letter to Antioch Trustees Message-ID: Hello, fellow alums, The Antioch University Board of Trustees will meet this coming week at Antioch New England, in Keene, New Hampshire. The fate of the College will be under discussion. The AC3 has not disbanded (though it is not now negotiating with the Trustees). The Alumni Board is working as hard as ever for the sake of the College's future. So there remain grounds for hope of a satisfying resolution to the crisis around the College. A few of us in the Boston chapter have drafted the following letter to the Trustees. May I ask you to look it over and reply to me ASAP if the letter (approximately) represents your point of view. If it does, please do reply, for the sake of solidarity. I must hear from you no later than noon on Tuesday for your voice to be heard. Also, please note these future local alumni events. Why not put them on your calendar now. Wednesday, August 20, 6:30 p.m., planning meeting. Saturday, September 13, afternoon and evening, annual social event, Martha's Vineyard. Late October, group excursion to "Follies," a musical about a theater that refused to die(!), at the Boston Conservatory. Saturday, November 15, afternoon symposium on Re-envisioning Education, at Dudley House, Harvard, with dinner to follow at a Harvard Square restaurant. This will be our major event of the year, and it should be a compelling one. Details to follow. Regards, Barbara Wallraff -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
