However, the University Trustees, at their board meeting last week, did not accept the AC3's proposal to assume ownership of the College and restated their intention to suspend operations at the College at the end of June. (For more information, see the February 26 article on www.antiochians.org/ and the February 22 press release at www.antioch-college.edu.) Two members of the AC3 Board -- Frances Degan Horowitz '54, who is AC3 Co-Chair and also University Professor and President Emerita of the City University of New York Graduate Center; and Terry Herndon '57, a member of our alumni chapter -- will bring us up to date at the Boston Antioch College alumni chapter's meeting next Wednesday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m., at my house, 320 Dudley Street, Brookline. (E- mail me for driving directions, or let me know in advance if you need a ride from a T stop.) Mike Brower '55, a member of the Alumni Board Executive Committee, will have just returned from an Alumni Board meeting on campus and will bring us news from Yellow Springs. Zee Gamson, a former University Trustee and chair of the Cape and Islands alumni chapter, will be with us as well. Please let me know (if you haven't already) if you plan to attend.
